John Filler of Wildwood Crest was hosing out his car after picking up a Chalupa and a 68oz Mountain Dew when his wife, Cookie, told him the good news. She read that the Rio Grande Taco Bell was installing a disposable underwear dispenser near the drive-thru exit.
Taco Bell is an inexpensive treat. However, the cost of replacing his underwear and the hours spent cleaning out his car had John considering staying north of the border.
Executives at Yum Brands in China, the conglomerate that owns Taco Bell, had a long laugh before deciding to take action to prevent losing sales. 'The disposable underwear we’ve developed was initially used to protect workers at Fukushima after the nuclear meltdown.'
McDonald's, recognizing the brand loyalty Taco Bell developed by helping consumers adapt to the side effects of consuming their products, decided to follow suit. Barf bags will be available at all McDonald's drive-thrus this fall.
